TMI question about first period after having baby...

Okay i had my daughter almost 3 months ago (on july 18th) and i just started my first period since having her, i started yesterday and OMG the cramps are HORRIBLE they have never been this bad EVER and it seems to be REALLY Heavy (tmi) sorry lol.. Anyways did this happen to anyone else???

The first is the worst! I had horrible cramps that kept me in bed.

yep.
here's my theory as to why.
when you have cramps.. your uterus is contracting.
when you are in labor. .your uterus is contracting.
BUT on a MUCH larger level of course.
so.. i think that from labor and all those STRONG contractions.. your uterus muscles [your uterus is pretty much a big muscle] get alot stronger... so when you cramp w/ a period after having a baby... the cramps are much stronger b/c the uterus is much stronger...
