sharp pains in my tummy?

I'm having sharp pains in the top of my tummy. I don't feel like i'm having contractions though. What the hells going on?!

your due any day now.it could be the beginning of labor.keep a close eye on them and if anything changes call the doctor right away.

itcould possibly be contractions...early ones...call your doctor !

I'm already in early labor and the other day i got these sharp pains all over my tummy at the hospital and they told me not to be concerned about it but they wouldn't give me a straight answer on what it is.

sounds to me like your contractions are getting stronger then.is it a stop and go pain or constant?

Its stopping and going. The thing about the early labor is that i haven't been feeling contractions. When i was at the hospital they were going up to 60 on the moniter but i was barely feeling them at all. So i can't even tell whats going on.

call the hospital and see if they want you to come in.first babies usually(but NOT always) take awhile.if the pain is getting worse though go to the hospital.better to be safe than sorry as they say.good luck momma!!

those are contractions...they start off tolerable and then they gradually get worse...i went into labor on October 21, 2007 and gave birth on October 25, 2007...so what does that tell you??

I decided to wait and see if the pains stop. The pains in my belly aren't there as much but now i have back pains. They're not coming and going- its like it hurts really bad for a minute then it stops hurting so much then just starts up again butit doesn't completely stop. I'm gonna wait another hour and see if it all goes away. If it doesn't by then i'll call the hospital. I just don't want to rush over there for no reason. lol.
