Safety 1st Alpha Omega 3-1 Carseat

posted 12th Oct
I currently have a Cosco Senera currently in my suv. I don't have a tight fight in RF position and have $170.00 to spend on a carseat. My current carseat has too much give.. I have a rolled up towel underneath it for recline and another blanket stuffed down the front to keep the seat from having so much give.

I'm looking at buying a Safety 1st Alpha Omega 3-1 carseat so I won't have to buy another carseat.

My parents bought this seat from walmart in a different pattern for their truck to replace their CoscoSenera's they have for both granddaughter's. I quickly sat in my SUV along with my toddler (16 months, 22lbs, 29 inches tall) and in RF mode it sits up too far. Her head would slump over when she falls asleep.

I understand I can put a towel under it..

But does anyone else have this seat and have any opinions on it?

I have to order the pattern I want online since i want something "pretty" since we will be keeping it until she outgrows a booster seat.

One of those foam pool noodles cut in half lengthwise (half moon shape). I have a car that has slanting seats and that is how the health dept told me to fix it. You can still strap the carseat in there tightly.

I looked at the Maxi-Cosi Priori on BRU and I would have to spend another $50 to buy a booster seat when she outgrows this seat

Appreciate the suggestion..but I'm going to spend over $100 it needs to last year until she outgrows a carseat

yeah thats the one i have just different pattern, i have a darango and, the carseat itself does have a recline position, but u really need the towels, if u use one and babys head still slums forward then u get two more roll them up and tape them together in a triangle shape, then put the carseat in and latch it down, and more towles untill babys head doesn't slump, but noramlly 3 is enough but i needed four because i had to stuff one in between where the seat folds down in the car and their is a tiny gap,

Pool noodle works better than a towel?

I have a pool noodle in my shed that grandma gave to Hailey but she was too small to use this year in her kiddie pool.

Ido like that is seat is heavier than my Coscoand it seems to fit better but still needs aninch or two in reclineto make hergo back enough.

Slanting seats is theEXACT problem of my blazer with these seat..The other seathas to sit in the grooves of the seat since it has acurved bottom and just doesn't fit tight enough.

Thanks everyone for the help !!

I didn't do enough research or have much $$ when I purchased my daughter's 1st carseat last year. This time around i want to do it right with the funds I have to spend.

I feel much better about my decision

I don't have anyone in RL to ask about carseats.. It takes FOREVER to get an appt with the health dept carseat lady and F.D's, P.D's in my VERY small town know nothing about carseats.
