It depends on how well you can tolerate pain. Also, everyone's labor is different so no one can really give you an idea of how yours is going to be. All I can say is, it is PAINFUL but maybe not so much for you, depending on how well you handle it orrrr you might experience the worst labor and scream your head off. Again, everyone is different. As for me, my labor SUCKED ASS, I was in a lot of pain. Welp, good luck!!!

I don't even think there are enough words to describe the pain. It was so horrible.

You should read some labour stories.
Just google it "birth stories" and you get everything! Good ones, bad ones, home/hospital/car, etc.

But yeah, everyone is so different- every labour is differnet, the same woman having 5 kids will have 5 totally different labours each time- so there's no way to know for sure what yours will be like, but if you read a ton of birth stories then you'll have at least a better idea of what to expect!

It's tiring.

After I got my epidural and I wasn't in pain I was talking to my best friend and fell asleep in mid sentence. I was THAT tired

I loved labor!!! I miss it...It's sore, yah. It's exciting though. I could handle the pain. It was totally bearable for me and I went all natural. It's a working pain, just think positive and concentrate and you'll be fine the thing I loved most about labor (and I know this may sound weird) but was the smell. when the baby&placenta came out the room smelled so fresh are something! It's a realli intimate smell and your baby smells AMAZING for the first few days, reminding you of the first time you held them especially on the top of their head,GAH I LOVED LABOR!

i can say dont get the epidural until you've tried the pain meds first. They have Darvacet and Demorol and other stuff they can give you for the pain. The epidural makes you paralyzed and you cant get up right away to shower or use the bathroom afterwards. Its not worth it if the meds would've worked so try them first

They used to. My grandma missed all four of her daughter's births because they just put her to sleep. That was in the 60's though.
