Around what month can the baby get colic and after what month does the colic stage pass?

Corben started to be colicky around 2 or 3 weeks...He's almost 5 months now and it's pretty much passed, so I guess it subsides around 4 months or so...

My daughter who is now 9 1/2, was the most colicy baby ever. She started the first night she was born and it just kept getting worse every day and every month.. Until i finally broke down when my doctor didn't believe me and switched her formual to a soy base...she was fine then...and then it was time for her to come off her fornula. The books say about 3 or 4 months they will be colicy. My case didn't follow that rule (wish they would have). Just stick to your guns..you know what is best for your baby...your doctor isn't with your baby everyday or even their own for that matter.

caden was colicy since birth. he cried ALL the time.. id feed him, change him, bathe him, rock him, snuggle with him, strip him down to his diaper, massage him with lotion, lay him on his belly on my lap... EVERYTHING.. i wouldnt stop. He finally stopped being colicy around 4 months but since id held him so much when he was little because of the colic hes attatched to me at the hip. I try so hard to get him to do things on his own, but he wont. He only cries now when hes hungry, took a dump, is sick, or needs a nap. so hes not colicy anymore.. just fussy because he ALWAYS wants me to hold him.. we'll be in the grocery store and 1/2 way through shopping his arms are up in the air and hes screaming and saying "Mama!, Mama!" and hes almost 9 months old now. UGH. If he werent so cute id sell him to the circus. Just kidding.
PS.. 4 months is when he was sitting up on his own.. thats when it stopped. So maybe its when they can sit up unassisted it stops?

I tried everything too, switched my son to Enfamil Nutramigin Formula and after a week he still seemed colicky. I tried Mylicon and that was a waist, it didnt work . I called my sons pedi and asked him about Gripe water and they said it would be ok to try . Its all natural , and let me tell you my son seems like a completly different baby.
