omg

i dropped her    a few mins ago.
i accidently fell asleep while holding her and she fell (on carpet).....
i feel so bad. my poor baby
do you think something serious could've have happened..
i picked her up right away and she cried a little then stopped
then i just gave her to my mom. now shes sleeping.
is it okay to let them sleep? what should i watch for?.
ohmygoshhhhh i feel like a bad mom.

im sure people will bash you for dropping your kid...but now a days almost every kid has either been dropped by a parent or sibling. i would say as long as nothing is noticeably wrong to just keep an eye on her

I'm sure she's fine. Didn't sound like she fell that far. All my siblings (me included) have fallen harder and higher than that around that age lol.

Watch for uneven pupils....if one is bigger than the other...or if her eyes start moving from side to side rapidly....these are both signs of head injury.

You were HOLDING her and next time be careful!

I dropped my baby the 1st week I brought him home, I was laying on the couch and he was on my chest. I guess he moved and I didn't even notice and he fell... To make matters worse, on wood floor. He was screaming his head off for about 30seconds and stopped. I felt horrible and I was holding him tight, crying. He's ok though(thank god)!

You're not a bad mommy. You're not the first parent to drop their baby. I'm sure she is fine, but keep an eye on her. If anything seems 'off' about her. Fever, won't eat, sleeps too much, that sort of thing, then I'd call the pedi. But I wouldn't beat yourself up...accidents happen.

mhmm.. that shocked me. how the hell do you fall asleep while carrying a baby..if your THAT tired to where your in and out of it you shouldnt be carrying a baby, plain as that.. but holding in bed i sort of understand if she was feeding her or something and sitting at the edge of the bed and.. hm.. idk. ive dropped my son before, so im not bashing her for it.. i tripped on my pj pant leg and we both fell, he was okay, but scared me to death.

you are not the first mom to do that sweetheart. Just calm down. When they are little like that they are awesome at bouncing back. Probably just scared her a little.

Its not funny that she dropped her baby but it was funny to picture someone walking around and randomly passing out on the ground or something lol.
