Breast fed 3 week old

My daughter is 3 weeks tomorrow, and for the past 3 days she has been wanting to breast feed every hour. after i feed her she cries til she poops all up her back. Then wants to eat again. My diet hasnt changed at all, so i dont know what it could be. I havent tried gripe water or anything, cause i wasnt sure it was safe, seeing as how my daughter is a preemie. Any suggestions?? Not sure what to do.

3-4 weeks is a common time for a growth spurt and cluster feeding , I would just let her nurse and not worry about it .

Its pretty normal for her to want to eat that much at that age... Just hang in there, it gets better!

My son did the same thing at that age, so yes he was just going through a major growth spurt. It was pretty overwhelming the first day, so I just took it easy and stayed on his schedule till he was over it.

my little one is nearly 17 weeks and feeds still every hour *sigh* or sometimes for hours on end..

At 3 weeks they have a major growth spurt so its normal as they are trying to build up the supply. To help your supply make sure to drink lots of water and eat lots of proteen as proteen is the foundation for breastmilk. Try to minimise stress and also sleep when they sleep.

I know its hard when you have things to do or other little ones

Also its normal to poo after each feed at that age as well espeically if u r breastfeeding.
