Potters syndrome?

Have any of you ladies had a baby that was diagnosted with potters syndrome?? From what it sounds like we have what is called type 1 We do not know this for sure, but it is sounding more and more like it. Any advice or somments on it??

Ohhhh hunny Iam so sorry idont know a whole. My sisters baby had it and she passed after birth. All I know is it affects the kidneys.

how many weeks are you? My daughter has 1 kidney, and the whole pregnancy they were telling me the other kidney migth be "hiding" in the abdominal cavity (although it wasnt, she just had 1). Sorry to hear about the Potter's diagnosis, I reseached it a lot when i found out my daughter had only 1 kidney -- if you have any questions or want to chat or vent, please PM me.

Im soo sorry darl. My 2nd son also had kidney problems with both kidneys. Im soo thankful it was nothing to serious. Goodluck ill keep you in my thoughts =)

I am exactly 19 weeks now. They saw both kidneys, it jsut seems as though both are accupied with many cysts. We are definatly going in for a second opinion with a speacialist tomorrow, but im just scared because if it is potters syndrome, the likelyhood of him surviving is 1 in 1 million or so.

Did they induce your sister?? How many weeks was she when she dilivered?? Also do you know what type of Potters it was?? Sorry with so many questions, anything will help....

They induced her cause of the lack of fluid she was I think in her third trimester. It was type 1 again iam so sorry. You have no idea iam crying as I write this to you.

I am so sorry to hear about your baby. I am 25 weeks pregnant and my baby also has Potters Syndrome. Our baby has no kidneys at all. I know how hard this is. I will keep you in my prayers. If you want to talk im here
