to get your nails done if you're pregnant??

Not in the salons. The fumes are bad for the baby. But you can do them yourself if you have a well ventilated area.

yep!! Try and go to a bigger nail place or sit by the door though the fumes gave me such a headache if I wasn't closer to the door..

It's best to wait until after week 12, make sure it's in a well ventilated area and that the place you go to is clean.

I get a Mani/ Pedi like every 2 weeks, the salon I go to leaves the front and back door open when I come there, you have to think, some of these ladies are pregnant while they are doing nails and their kids are fine... get um done, and get a pedi while your at it! ( I throw it in the same myth section with not to dye your hair... Only if your bleaching it out do they say any real harm could come) so you go girl you deserve it... see if they have pregi- masage too... they are good things

True dat. My dcotor had told me that it was actually safe to dye your hair and have your nails done. And almost every salon I've ever done keeps the front and back doors open. Unless it's like freezing. =]

for sure... I love my nail people and the little girl I've watch grow up for the past 5 years! and every time they see me they always wanna know everything about my baby.. hehe ooooh Im one loyal customer!

this pregnancy i've gotten 'em done a few times but my pregnancy before this one i got 'em done like every 2-3 weeks and i was fine! and my son is great too! i really dont think it effects 'em as much as people make it seem.
