I feel so guilty…

posted 11th Oct
I found out on Thursday I was having a boy and I cried for a day or so. I know I should be grateful that my baby is healthy. However, I really wanted a girl. I know that this sounds selfish and all. But, I do not want to risk having another baby due to my age. Besides, even if I did try again does not mean that I would end up with a girl. I’m starting to feel a little better about the situation.

Am I the only one on BG-- who has cried for not getting the gender that you hoped and prayed for? Please be nice!

No i never felt that way. I had a boy my first time and i dotn know what im having yet this time. I was hoping for a girl so i can be done having kids. So when im around 30ish i "forget" about pregnancy and labor and try for a girl. But i decided that maybe i would just adopt a girl later down the road if i dont get one now. That could be an option for you.

I understand what you mean, but as long as the baby is healthy.. it doesnt matter. And I think you realize that.

You are probably not the only one who has felt that way ... maybe one of a handful who would admit to feeling so. But you are entitled to feel as your hormones dictate, don't sweat it because when you look into your newborn son's eyes you will melt and fall in love all over again.

Perhaps, I am just being honest and that’s one of the many reasons why I have joined BG for support. I do not feel that I am selfish ---just truthful.

I tried really hard not to cry when I found out my second was another girl I only let 1 tear fall! I was a little upset but it didnt take me but an hour to get excited about her! That is why when me and my hubby try again in 6 years! I am not going to find out the sex I knew with my first 2 and I do not want to be dissapointed if it isnt a boy I know I will be happy no matter what the day that he or she is born!
