when's a good time?

when is a good time to spread the news?? right now only my boyfriend& a friend who's like a sister to me knows. i want to tell more poeple, but i just want to make sure that things are going well first, i was gonna wait till im about 3 months but i dont know. can anyone relate?

I never could wait that long!

yes! i wanted to wait till around 3 months, but my bf couldnt keep his mouth shut, and told his mom. then the whole town knew!!!

I waited until miscarrying was no longer likely, can't remember how many months that is though.

just tellthe people who matter most to you [immediate family & close friends] and wait until about 12 weeks for the rest. If your like me and cant wait, then go for it... everyone knew once i was about 8 weeks.

I know there are a lot of people who wait until 3 months because of previous miscarriages and stuff. I know I personally wouldn't want to wait, but if you feel like you'd rather be sure of it, then by all means, just wait it out. GL =)

Im sure everything will be alright...but I had to tell the world, i was so scared and excited and I just wanted to share this amazing news with my friends and family...but just make sure your family doesnt find out by telling the worng hperson...that would def. be an issue! Plus im sure you want to tell them yourslef!! congrats and good luck!

My DH wanted to wait, I told everyone as soon as I knew (about 6-7 weeks).
I never really understood the not telling anyone until you're 12 weeks (except maybe people at work) when the risk of miscarraige goes down- If I miscarried, I would prefer that I had family and friends who knew about the pregnancy so they could support me in getting through that tough time. Support networks are important.

my doctor told me that its up to me when to tell people but to wait til about 11 or 12 weeks. he said that the risk of misscarring goes down 20 percent if you get to be 12 weeks. also if you hear the heartbeat the doctor can hear for murmers and other issues. I wanna tell people sooo bad but i also wanna wait til theres a slighter chance at a misscarrage

I Agree! support networks are VERY important.

Well, I certainly waited as long as I could - due to my previous miscarriage. My DBH wanted to shout it from the rooftops, though. I told my parents early on, b/c they're my world... and my Mom was by my side through the miscarriage. I think I told everyone right around 12 weeks, but I can't remember for sure. It's hard as Hell to keep such a secret when everyone is asking... why are you always sooo tired... you sure you're alright?  

i Told myself I was going to wait till I saw the Dr. and everything was confirmed to be going well... but My excitment got the best of me   EVERYONE KNOWS... LOL, but hevean forbid something does happen... I know I will have a HUGE support group to fall back on!
