Blood from baby's bottom?!

I just changed my baby's diaper, and saw few specks of blood on the baby wipe!
I didn't see anything in her diaper though, although it was the first good dirty diper she has made in almost a day, she seemed a little consitpated and gassy yesterday, she was still having bowel movements, but very teeny tiny ones that were almost non exsistent.
She has been urinating fine, so I thought as long as it didnt go on for more than a day she would be fine, but after the last diaper, and the blood specks, should I be concerned? Or is that normal??

was it hard or formed poop. that could cause little fissures (tears in the membranes of her anal opening)(im trying to sound nice and not get offensive and call it other things) and if she was constipated she could have gotten some hemmorhoids (sp?) if it was formed and hard

Nope it was very liquidy, she is breastfed.
SInce she has been born her normal poopy diapers are extremely liquid runny and yellow, which is all normal.
But all yesterday her poopies consisted of no more than a dime to a quarter size stain, and it was more green than yellow.
The one she just had has returned to runny and yellow, just the few droplets of blood on the wipe : (

I would watch it and see if it continues. It could be really acidic specially if you have eaten something different. If it continues or gets worse I would take her in. My daughter was always hard even when I bf'd, I know most bf'd babies are just like yours as far as poop looks. I would see ifit happens again.

This is my first born so I am still a nervous wreck about everything that comes out of her body lol. I just want her to be healthy!

not a problem I was that way at one time almost 5 years ago!!!! If it changes in color (ie to looking like coffee grounds) or there is alot of bright red then def take her in. better safe than sorry

Owen gets that sometimes, its just a bit of a rash. the first time i took him to the dr and was just told to put lots of cream/vasaline on his bum!!!

Does she have a diaper rash? It sounds more like blood from an irritated rash rather than from her poop. The stool you are describing sounds normal for a breastfed baby.

mine had this every time she pooped come find out it was a milk /soy allergy even milk protine passed through my breast milk so i had to go on a milk free diet and shes on neo cate formula now cus i got a bad absest wisdom tooth cus of calcium deficiancy .. hopes yur daughter clears up but do keep an eye on it gl mama ..
