My Husband

posted 11th Oct
Well... I have had this talk with my husband a lot. I am worried that I will go into labor in the middle of the night, and not be able to wake him up. He is the heaviest sleeper I have ever know. I mean I can be a bitch and toss some water on him to wake him up but then Im afraid he will punch me... LOL tonight just made me think... he rolled out of bed, fell on the floor and I cant wake him up to help him back in bed. He is working very hard right now, 16 hour shitfs every day till the people of alaska have their snow tires on, and we he falls asleep theres no waking him. yes Im a little worried, do any of you think I can drive myself to the birthing center? I live 15 miles away, I told my brother to be on call just in case, but he works three nights a week. What do you think about this? Am I being a little bit paranoid here??????

i think if you got an air horn it would solve your problem lol ! i am sure it will be fine , i mean if your are in early labor i say try but if you are in pain you can always call 911   i walk to work and i am afriad that i will go into labor on the walk thats why i always bring my cell phone ! so i can call someone and if they dont answer i am calling 911 lol

There is always the option of calling 911, they will be there in no time and you can just leave a note for when your husband wakes up. When i went into labor with my son i could of drove myself, i would of broken the steering (sp) wheel but i would of gotten to the hospital.

Yeah 911 is always there, but here in Alaska they arent as fast as they are in the states. I live 15 miles out of town, 3 miles off the road, on a dirt road, and its always bumpy. It would be quicker if I drove, or something. I could alway just have the babe at home, and then call.. I dont know. I like the air horn idea....

lol the airhorn would be so funny though haha i can imagine my bf jumping up scared as hell... dont worry Jez i kinda have the same problem with my bf its like trying to wake a toddler up he screams and yells and kicks and throws fits so if i go into labor i am going to get the bag ready , take a shower get dressed , basically do as much as i can without him then call my mom lol and that why she can talk him into getting up on the phone ha ha because i think he would think i am joking lol

I dont get it, whats wrong with these men?? I wake up to any sound... ex my cat puking, my bird sneezing, the toilet making noise, once I woke myself up cus I was snoring too loud and all you have to do is say my name and I am up asap. I have always been like that... I think that my grandma made me this way, cus she would wake me up for school, and if I didnt get up her voice would get meaner and meaner. LOL
