He might just be ready to switch to 1 nap. Milo has been doing 1 lately, and he is going o sleep and sleeping way better at night.

We started binky weaning today. It's SO hard. He mosty uses it while nursing. He goes back and forth until my milk lets down an then sucks on it to fall asleep. He actually did okay at nap and bedtime. I felt bad though when he was crying and looked so sad, andI knew what he wanted and didn't give it to him .

I'm doing this because he's been not intrested in nursing lately and someone at LLL had the same issue and it got 1000x better when she took away the binkie.

You're more dedicated than me.   I'd just let him stay awake until he was ready to pass out with little trouble.
LOL
That is why my girls rarely are in bed before 10. Cause I always stay up half the night so we sleep late.

I wish I could do that, but he always wakes up at 6:30..regardless of what time he goes to bed. So I try to get him in bed by 7 at the latest. *sigh*

YAY!!! I had to go get a test at the "crisis pregnancy center" because other than an OB that is the only place WIC and DHS will accept a test from in order to get medicaid which i want to get new glasses. So, i took it and it was positive (big surprise) they didn't want to test me because it hadn't been a month. I told them I knew I was pregnant that this was just a formality and I was not in fact in crisis. they asked how I knew. i said "my period is due today and I've had nine positive tests since Wednesday I'm not using an ob nor do I have the money to go to one without insurance since the first visit alone is around $800. I need a test they will consider valid" hahhaha

LOL Nice   Yeah I always tested at home and then went down to my midwifes office... like pretending I didnt know for sure... and took a test there. That one's accepted for Medicaid, WICand insurance.
And also because I love them and want them to know!

My midwife does mostly home visits. she doesn't have "office hours" because she only goes to people's houses. She's on call whenever, though

I called my midwife right after testing.

what does a first appointment generally go like with a midwife?

Um...
Generally first appointment is a urine test, weight, paperwork... filling out your medical history forms, visiting about your pregnancy, and your family, getting to know you a bit.
You might get a folder about nutrition and helpful information about staying healthy and low risk... my midwife gives out a water bottle with their logo on it...

Yep, pretty much the same information, but is generally a lot friendlier, you get to have a conversation, kind of thing.

10 weeks is good, then she'll probably try to find the heartbeat. YAY!

I was going in for blood draws weekly from 4 weeks on with Isla because of my progesterone. So we tried to hear the heartbeat early.
We found it with a normal tummy doppler at 8weeks3days!
Judi said she thought it was God's little gift to us, reassurring us after the miscarriage. I was SO releived.
She said it's super rare to ever find it that early unless you're doing an internal vaginal doppler.
