It ended up being fine...just a hematoma that should go away on its own  ... my poor baby...he hasn't acted like it hurts him at all tho he's a rough and tough lil boy

I think we worry way more about them than they do. Each time my LO haas a little fever from teething I get freaked out. I want him to feel good so I want to give him medication but I don't want to over medicate. So I try and give him a nice bath to feel good

But honestly I don't think he feels bad at all, its just me thinking he feels bad. I am just a worrier. I think you are too

I am so glad it was nothing

Ok last night something I just loved happened. Daddy fell asleep on the couch and baby fell asleep in my arms, not our normal night night routine at all. (Normal we all get baths and jammies and get in bed together) So I brought baby to bed hoping to get up and have some ice cream and wake up Daddy to go get in bed. Well baby got in bed and reached over to feel for Daddy, like always. He likes to nurse with me and reach over to hold hands with daddy. But his had could not find Daddy while he was nursing so he sat up. He looked under a pillow? He looked at me? Then he yelled DAAAADA! DaaaaDA. From a LO who has not said Dada much. It was heart worming. I wish more people would cosleep, bead shear or what ever you like to call it. I think it is wonderful. I know lots of people think its weird but we love it.

My So says people who put kids in cribs in other rooms remind him of people who put their dogs in crates in other rooms(HEHE)

He is 12 months.
How about yours?
Mine has this habit and I wonder if all co sleepers do similar things. He nurses but lays in a strange way so that part of him can hold his Daddy by holding hands or just rubbing his baby foot on his Daddys arm. Then often when he is full he will crawl over to Daddy just for a few min. Like just to snuggle then he comes back and sleeps in the middle.

That's sweet! Neither of my kids have done anything like that, haha. They actually couldn't care less they are sleeping with me, except when they wake up and need something. I could put my kids anywhere at night and they'd sleep fine, I just don't like getting out of bed  .

My lo will be 12 months on the 14th. His dad isn't around but I absolutey adore these precious moments I get with him. I have a feeling if his sperm donor was around i would have gotten a ton of pressure from him and his family about co sleeping and maybe wouldn't have even done it. I love how my son is so comforted from sleeping in bed with me and nursing whenever so easily. I feel so lucky that i get to watch him fall asleep every single night.

The pressure that you think you would have we totally get. I am from Ca and very much the type of person people think of when they think of CA. My LOs Daddy is from TX and his fam is very much what you think of when you think of a TX family,

But we stand up to them and just tell them this is what we are doing and why and deal with it. They are mad at us from not cutting his penis and a lot of other thing. If they only knew he still slept with us! LOL I can't guess what they would say.

I need some book suggestions. Anything to do with raising children and babies in a gentle loving and understanding way that explains why and how it's important. Tia.

I know you said never mind but I am suggesting anyway. The attachment parenting book by Dr. Sears. And I know you are not quite there yet, but playful parenting and The happiest toddler on the block.

Ooh thank you   And i also take back my never mind because I realized people's book reviews may be helpful. Right now I'm ordering "The Natural Child" on amazon. I basically want books that will engrave reminders in my brain that I am fulfilling my son's need by parenting the AP way. I want helpful hints how to treat him through each month and milestone of his baby life.

I always thought reading books like that gave me refreshed patience. Maybe I should read one about toddlers. Mime's quite the challenge lately, lol.
