re: ATTACHMENT PARENTING !!!

He does well in resteraunts too! Well most of the time- I guess because he so stimulated ..he tries to talk to everyone sitting around us HAH....What's weird is he loves to play with his ( space saver) high chair when its on the floor....but when you try to put him in it forget it! Maybe I should just lay out a waterproof table cover and let him eat on the floor. Why haven't I thought of this earlier!

His pedi is like " he needs 3 meals a day and 6-8 oz of water blah blah" I'm like why 3 meals...who decided 3 meals? I eat 5-6 small meals....isn't it better to have little snacks throughout the day anyway? Plus he's only 10 months

A had JUST started solids at 10 months. Usually just dinner. Her pedi didn't care, just wanted to test her iron by 12 months.

I miss her old pedi  .

I just tell them what the Dr what they wanna hear anyways..although mine is pretty good about not "asking" too much.

I do too....but she asks the same thing everytime and stares me down like she knows I'm lieing...I am such a horrible liar ah well

Pushing boundaries and enabling?!

There are tons of good reasons for needing a different bedtime routine, it's not something to be ignored but more something to be listened to and acted on. Kids grow up and need different routines.. a routine is about meeting their needs, not just doing things in an order you choose because it suits you, kwim?

Teething, illness, cognitive spurts, developmental milestones, skill development.. there are so many valid reasons for things changing. Just follow her cues closely and go with it. Everything IS temporary at that age, just like you said. Just watch her and respond to her needs, it doesn't need to be stressful, and it will pass soon enough

Once they're settled on solids they should be fine with that and water for fluid. They make up for being apart from you often by nursing more through the night and when you are home, some even reverse cycle depending on how long you're gone for. They can still get a huge amount of nutrition from a few breastfeeds a day, and the antibodies too. The main benefits as your LO gets older are for sickness and pain from teething and brain boosters for cognitive development - so all of these things are still achieved by nursing on cue whenever you're with them

Igot a highchair when LO was 11 months old, and he wouldn't sit in it till 16 months. He never sat in it to eat though, it was just for playing and to get in and out for fun and as a climbing toy   My son didn't sit down to eat, he just snacked whilst playing, and would run and grab food as he played. He didn't even have his own plate till he was 2.5 years old. He's very healthy and larger than average so no problems there.

Awesome! Honestly the only reasons I like my son on solids right now is 1. Its CUTE and 2. Washing diapers is easier with formed poo vs. Semi formed....I'm not worried about nutrition I know nothing really holds a candle to BM

He just started eating meals and today was his first poo that wasn't a chunky explosion...yes I was excited about poop  

i miss EBF poop! my 3 year old still has mushy diapers. I've just realised he's nursing quite a lot in the day atm, but even when he only nurses once, he still has some mushy poop and some 'normal'. He eats plenty solids too.
