Quoting Andeee:" Wondering if I could get some advice from fellow AP... My DD just turned 1, she has been co-sleeping ... [snip!] ... and I think she is still too young, is going through a phase and will settle back into routine soon. Any advice or thoughts?"
Pushing boundaries and enabling?!
There are tons of good reasons for needing a different bedtime routine, it's not something to be ignored but more something to be listened to and acted on. Kids grow up and need different routines.. a routine is about meeting their needs, not just doing things in an order you choose because it suits you, kwim?
Teething, illness, cognitive spurts, developmental milestones, skill development.. there are so many valid reasons for things changing. Just follow her cues closely and go with it. Everything IS temporary at that age, just like you said. Just watch her and respond to her needs, it doesn't need to be stressful, and it will pass soon enough
