uggh my dad always tells me to let emmie have a little cry sometimes if shes being fussy but I CANT let her. not even for a minute. I always tend to her needs. it feels wrong for me to not even try to get her to stop crying. since I know its for a reason

yeah thats basically what was on wiki... but some of those I fall under, some I don't, some just barely and some a lot... ?? So I can't really say if I am one or not... I'm just a "mom" I guess, lol...

ETA: When I really read it all I have to admit Aidan is far too independant already for a lot of that. He prefers to feed himself, won't sleep with us anymore (we could co-sleep up until a few months, then he would wake up CONSTANTLY until we put him down by himself) and gets cranky if he's held too much ( it IS easier for me to carry him though sometimes and honestly, I usually choose to over having him in a stroller), unless he's teething. He's much happier to do things on his own and just have mommy or daddy sitting by to encourage him now... so no, I'm probably NOT a practicing AP, but eh, we do what works...

i read the dr sears article...and ya. the bonding thing...i guess  i wanted to have the immediate skin to skin contact with er and her dad RIGHT after she was born, but that sidnt happen, but other than that we bonded fine, she was latched on to my breast about 15 min after she was born, which i was proud of. we've co slept since she was born, i tried the sling, she hated it...for some wierd reason  i didnt listen to the 3 hour schdual(after having 2 kids i knew it was bonkers to wake up a sleeping baby)i DID wake all three of my kids every three hours for the first week or so, until i knew they had gotten back up to their birthweight, i can pretty much tell whats wrong with annie by her cries now. well, between hungry, tired and just plain needs attention. idk. CIO seems mean.

I'm looking into baby wraps. I haven't bought one yet but I found these. There's another brand called didymos but they go for $145 or something.

tending to your childs needs in the most natural way by bfing, sleeping with your baby and always having her close, tending to all her needs, going about your day with your baby with you and involving her in your life as much as possible. having lots of skin to skin contact...

and why wouldnt you want your child to be like that, its far better then them being distant not showing feelings or emotions, but also being like that could teach them to be more idependant....something my partner has no idea what to do....
