So should I worrry (milestones)?

My boy just turned 9 months old and he is sooo not verbal.
Sure he will mumble...say bababa, mamamam and etc with no direction but I was reading babies can say mama or dada to the correct parent at this age (some of them anyway).
He is cruising (holdng onto things while walking) and crawling great but this not being verbal thing has me worried.
He also doesn't like baby toys - just doesn't show an interest for any of them at all...he pretty much only tries to play with stuff that is definitely not for baby...then I take things from him and he throws a tantrum.
Input? Sound normal?

It sounds normal to me. Some babies are still crawling at 18 months.

My 9 month old is the exact same to a T!
Don't you worry!
They all develop differently

Maybe he's just shy. xP
I was starting to get worried about Keira after I saw someone else's 5 month old doing alot more then she could, then it seemed like overnight she was doing the exact same things. Shes gangstah.

Thanks you all I knew it was okay in my gut but you can't help but get some anxiety when you start going over online milestone charts and etc.
I was a wreck when I was pregnant...doppler in hand almost every night!

I had a two cousin's baby (so two nephews.. I think?) start mumbling things after they turned a year.. they're almost two years old now and can say a couple words and make small sentences..
I knew a friend's baby who left to the other side of the country when she was about 16 months.. Barely said a word.. She understood a bit, but mumbled random things more than anything..
