well not to scare you or anything my cousin did remain paralized of one leg which she cannot move at all and now she's going through therapy..BUT I'm still getting the epidural mom and dad got mad at me but I cannot stand pain!

omg im scared, i dont think im going to get one

I'm going to fight getting an Epidural at all costs. I rather NOT take the chance and then be like the 1/20,000 person that becomes parazlyed from it. Not to mention I have a S curve in my back (thatyou canteven tell) so my back is already messed up as it is so I dont even want to take that chance!! So I will just have them load me up with pain meds through an IV

Try it without first and see if you can handle it and if not you always have the option of getting one and they do have other options for pain then just the epi.

I'm not getting one either. But if you're not going to get it beprepared. Whether you're going to get other meds or all natural.

You can't make any decisions untill it happends and u'll know if you need it or not.

My aunt got Stadol (sp?), its a pain med. It made her and the baby really sleepy.

and the have demerol as well but it only worked for about 10 minutes fo rme before my c-section, they just gave it tome to calm my body for the epi.
