Induction.............

I am SO excited I went to my doctor today and they sent me over to labor and delivery for monitoring b/c of high blood pressure...well everything is okay they just said I had hypertension so they are inducing me Tuesday at 5 am..SO glad this will all be over with and my son will be here....does anyone know if they do anything different in the hospital dealing with hypertension?

they will put you on magnesium..

I was also induced for high BP

what does it do does it hurt?

what do you mean is there anything different?? if its bad enough i supposed they would give you drugs to help your bp be lowered. but if they didnt give you some maintance drugs for now i dont see why they would unless it goes higher.

induction should be the same for you as anyone else. cervadil if needed then pit.

thats weird they are inducing you over hypertention. i knew someone that had like 180/90 her whole pregnancy and didnt give her a c section until the due date (previous c section)

well if you saw my swelling which I have toxemia..and my bp is always high but my blood work is always okay thank god anyways he is getting it over with b/c he knows Im tired of running to the dr 3x a week..maybe your friend should have switched doctors...

ugh well good luck...yeah i understand, when i ws prego i was in triage 3-5 times a week from 30 weeks on, hospitalized at 28 weeks. induced at 39 but that was the earliest because my doctor didnt want to risk anything since babies can still be premature before that. well i mean the lungs not be developed.he is the head of ob at one of the biggest high risk hospitals in america. some doctors are just so quick to induce its sad.

yeah I like that about my doctor he tried to hold out be he saw how miserable I was and having to go to the doctor a couple times a week really really sucks..Im so glad this will all be over soon and my son will be here........
