I've been feeling really overwhelmed & stressed out about taking care of Dakota. The older he gets the harder it gets and since i'm on my own I hardly ever get a break. Sometimes I feel like i'm gonna lose it! I'm also feeling lonely. I have hung out with a couple people lately & luckily I found another young mama around here I can relate to with adaughter around my son's age thank god! But pretty much all of my old friends don't talk to me anymore & the ones that do don't talk to me often at all. Then there's school on top of everything else. 99% of the time I just stay at home alone all day with my son & after awhile I start thinking & my depression just takes over   sometimes it gets so bad I feel like I can't even function. I just get this sense of hopelessness.

I hate feeling this way  . I don't mean to bitch but I have no one to talk to.

Ugh i hate this feeling i get into these really sad moods and get very moody for no reason. I was reading about borderline personality i think maybe i have that...Anyone have it what or how do you feel? What can you do so your not affected as much?

I have bipolar disorder II that doesn't have the mania really just hyperness but is mainly depression and mood swings. Medicine and therapy have helped me tremendously! If you think you might have borderline or bipolar I strongly suggest talking to a psychiatrist to figure out what's going on so they can get you on the right meds. I'm sorry you're going through this mama but with help it will get better

thanks you....I guess my relationship with my SO isnt helping me....im thinking hes bipolor as well he wont admit it he just says he sensitive. I guess that makes mine worse with being depressed and mood swings...hopefuly we both get help

Your welcome  . That's not good to both be going through that...i'm sure it complicates things& screws with both of your moods. I strongly recommend you get help. Since I have i'm like a completely different person & i'm so much happier. I never have big mood swings anymore & rarely even little ones.

What are you doing or taking if you dont mind me asking?

Not at all! I was doing counseling twice a week, but now i'm doing it once a week. And i'm taking Lithium(mood stabalizer), Lexapro(anti-depressant cause the mood stabalizers can make you feel flat), and Klonopin (a very low dose for anxiety. It sounds like a lot but I only take 1 Lithium twice a day, 20mg of Lexapro in the morning, and a total of .5mg of Klonopin. It usually takes awhile to find the right meds, but once you do it's amazing.

I took lexapro after having m son..my dr thought i had PPD. I could only take it for 2 weeks it was making me so emotional and i couldnt sleep

Im wanting to get therapy for the both of us...hopefully he agrees

That's what I have Bi-polar II and borderline personality order..... I also have panic attacks and insominia but neither of those happen very often. I don't really feel like anyone understands how I feel, it's just so hard to feel so sad about absolutely nothing! It makes me feel like an idiot,lol....

Over the past week my mental status has decreased tremendously. I cut myself and got 10 stitches in my left arm, and cut myself of wednesday and ended up with 10 more stitches even tho 2 have them have come out. I've tried to have my self voluntarily comitted for the past 2 days with no luck. I have an appointment on Wednesday to have a psych eval. My pcp and I both think that I have been mis diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder when what is really going on is Bipolar disorder. The medications I'm on aren't working. I was just changed to a new anxiety med and my doc wants me on a mood stabilizer like lithium. I really hope something happens soon.

There isn't a state mental health clinic near you?? They should have an emergency 24 hour line!! They have one here, what state are you in??

I've already called the crisis line. Been to two separate hospitals who said my insurance wouldn't approve my stay. I go see my therapist on Wednesday so we'll see what happens than!

That's BS!! How do these friggin homeless people get their meds?? I'm gonna look online for you, cuz I qualified, I had insurance and we make over $75,000 a year, so they are being stupid, or they aren't referring you to the right place!!
