PIH and I have Graves' Disease and a seizure disorder. They were worried about me having a thyroid storm or a seizure and my blood pressure was up really high again for like the 4th week in a row so my doctor just decided it was time to get him out!!

I really don't want to be induced.... I mean- I want her out, ASAP. But I'd really rather have it naturally happen.... I've heard induced labors are alot harder.

I felt the same way! I didn't want to be induced either.

Let me tell you my labor was easy easy easy! It was 24.5 hours but I wouldn't have changed the way it happened at all. They gave me cervadil to help soften my cervix for about 12 hours and then I was on pitocen for about 4-5 hours. I think my husband said I only pushed eight times, for 6 minutes!! I felt all of the delivery because my epdiural wore off about 15 minutes before he was actually born but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

I think I was lucky because I do know some people who have had bad experiences being induced. But like I said, mine was great and I am thankful!

Oh, and episiotomies are not as bad at people tell you they are IIMO. They actually help a lot. They hurt afterwards but when you actually are getting them, they relieve so much pressure and help pushing so much!

I'm glad everything went good for you. I'm still praying on just cracking like an egg.... but if worst comes to worst.... I will be getting induced..... joining your club.

Haha, well goo luck and I hope everything goes smoothly for you! Whether you go naturally or get induced! Just remember to try to stay as calm as you possibly can, that's the best advice that anyone gave me, and as stupid as it sounds, it really worked!

I know how you feel lol. By the time I hit 38 weeks I was so ready to kill someone. I had sciatica and was in so much pain and was just ready for it to be over. But then when my doctor said he was inducing me I kinda had a mini panick attack cause it was so unexpected and I felt like I wasn't ready of course lol. But my mom ust reminded me to keep myself calm and not to freak out cause it doesn't help anything and she was totally right. I guess it figures she would be, she does have five kids lol.
