breastmilk drying up???

Hi everyone. My son Madison is about a month and 1/2 old. He caught onto breastfeeding very easily and we've been having no problems at all. He can even switch between the bottle and the breast with no issues at all. After going out this weekend I've noticed my milk supply seems to be extremly low. When I pump now i dont even get 3 ounces when i used to get about 6 beefore. Im very worried and my little one is becoming extremly fussy. He's getting some milk but not as much as before i think. Everyone keeps saying keep feeding and pump more... WHAT SHOULD I DO?

my milk supply dropped because I got my period really early pp. To bring my supply back up I just made sure I nursed Lacie every 2.5 to 3 hours and when she finished eating I would pump to make sure my breasts were completely emptied.

If you really want to keep breastfeeding you should pump and feed more! If you don't you can switch to formula, or mix feedings. I had the hardest time stop breastfeeding. So I know it can be hard emotionally. It's really up to you what you should do. I would mix at least until you get your supply back up so the baby isn't hungry. 

If you drank when you went out its possible that the alcohol interfered with your let down... so now its harder to get the milk out of the breast, but thats not because it isn't there! Just wait a little while- keep feeding often, and it should work. Also- don't take sudafed.

there are also some medications you can take to help improve milk production..you can ask you OB dr.

you can try fenugreek. its an herbal supplement that increases milk supply. but yes, keep pumping and feeding. after your baby feeds pump. even if nothing is coming out. the nipple stimulation will tell your body to make more milk. it takes about 48 hours for you to notice the difference.

if you went out and drank that could be the reason your supply lowered. I read online that too much alcohol can hinder your milk production and let down reflex.

I feel ya. I cried like a baby when i had to stop.

watching i was like that too and now i am lucky if he stays on a breast 2 min. a day!!!! i really wanna keep feeding him alot
