According to the definition of the word, anyone who says "I don't do drugs" without clarifying which drugs, is lying.

This is why they should clarify.

People like to forget that words have definitions, but they do.

It is clearly. Obviously you understood or you wouldn't have written this post.

I understand when a lot of people communicate without being clear. It doesn't mean it's acceptable.

Yes, obviously.

Unless they do and they're lying about it, heh. Then it's still a lie.

No, it just means I'm good at deciphering what a person is saying. I can usually tell what someone means when they tIIp3 LyK3 ThIIs but I wouldn't call it clear, would you?

"I don't do drugs" is a vague statement. One assumes they mean illegal drugs, but that is not known until said person elaborates. My first question when I see that statement is what drugs specifically. There are so many different types. Making a clear position only solidifies one's argument.

Obviously no one has to follow this line of logic, but it helps to get the person's point across. Otherwise it is unknown if they realize how broad of a category "drugs" is.

this actually reminds me of when i was younger, my little brother asked my mom if he could eat tylenol, and she told him no that tylenol is drugs and we dont eat drugs.....well at school that week we had an assembly in the lunchroom and the D.A.R.E people were there (drug abuse resistance education) and they made everyone put there heads down and they asked us to raise our hands if our parents had any drugs in the home, well needless to say my 5 year old brother raised his hand proudly and i was devastated... i had to jump in and explain the situation to everyone including the cops that were there that would have been a perfect time to have an invisible cloak!!!!!

There are so many "understoods" in our language. To me you should bring this up in an argument as a point.
It sounds like people have gotten on their high horse to you about drugs so you had to get on your high horse and make this post. I hope it is all even now.
