Vapor Rub?

Ok so my daughter is 5 months old and has a sinus infection (going to the pedi tomorrow). I have been putting baby vapor rub on her, using a cool mist humidifier, saline drops, and suctioning her nose out which she hates. she has such a hard time breathing at night. we don't co-sleep but at 5:30 this morning I stuck her in bed with me and propped her head up on a pillow to elevate her and that didn't seem to help much. She doesn't have a fever and I have an appointment for her tomorrow since it's the earliest they could get her in. I was wondering if those vapor rub or triapedic call plug ins where safe to use for a baby?

yes i have the vicks plug ins right next to my daughters crib because she gets stuffy noses alot! The doctor recommended it to me! They help alot!!

what about the vapor rub waterless vaporizer thing? i already have a cool mist humidifier but I didn't know if that thing would be the same as the plug ins?

I wouldn't do the vaporizer because that might be a bit much on her little system.  Ask your pedi, but I wouldn't do it beforehand.

what about the plug ins?

I may have to pick some up then on my way home from work. I hope they will work for her. she just struggles to breathe at night and i feel so bad for her that i can't make it better......

My 4 month old has a nasty nasty cold right now. I had been running the cool mist humidifier, but it's done nothing except make the room damp and uncomfortable. Yesterday, I bought a warm mist one and it has helped ease her congestion much better. I don't know about the vapor plugins...

I had been putting a little Vicks Baby Rub on her shoulders before bed. Seems to allow her to at least fall asleep.

It's so scary when they are sick!
