I have a question about going to another country.

Ok my boyfriend and I are going to mexico after I have this baby and she is alomost a year. Anyways I figured out that I can get a passport card, its not a regular passport the only difference is you cant fly with it. You can only go to certain countrys and its alot cheaper thena regular passport. Ok I have 3 kids and one more on the way. I am still married to my oldest 2 girls father unfortunatly   !!! Im planning to get a divorce soon well once I get the money. Ok my question is, does any one know how I can get my two oldest down there. Am I going to need thier dads permission for them to go down there? Or can I just get them when I get thier pass port cards? Also does anyone know what all I need to go down there goverment wise? Ok thanks in advance for all of your advise. I also wanted to put downt that he doesnt pay child support at all and he never see the girls.

I've been to Mexico with no need for a passport. Just an ID card proving you live in the US. I don't know about babies, though.

I think it depends on the custody agreement w/ the divorce more than anything.

It wouldnt hurt to get his permission. Get it in writing. Let him know your plans..

I will try to do that but do you have to have it?? I dont always know where he is at times...He never answeres my phone calls and I dont know where he lives.

Why don't you get a divorce with the money you are spending to go to Mexico?

You will need a passport or passport card to get in and out of Mexico by then, and yes I believe you will need their fathers permission to take them out of the country. I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure that is correct.

as a mother, I'd want my son's father to ask me before taking my child out of the country....I think out of courtesy (even if its not needed) to let him know and get his permission.

Both parents have to agree for a passport, or there has to be something in writing saying why not, such as a court order,etc.

Well, if all else fails, go up to the police station and let them know. Cause if he wants to be a dick he could get u into trouble.

Ok did you not read that im getting a divorce once I get the money I never said that I was going down there before I get a divorce so know what your saying before you say it!
