Waiting...and waiting

posted 6th Oct
ok what now?
we already know what she is,
as long as shes healthy i shouldnt be getting anymore ultrasounds..
nothing in between now and the birth to look forward to!
its driving me crazy. at least before you could break your waiting time down into a month or two for different exciting events.
now i have to wait 18 weeks for the big day.
waiting is driving me nuts!!
im not alone am i?

Maybe take some classes or soemthing. Like a birthing class, after baby, or breastfeeding. My last US was at 18 weeks and nothing else really happened in between so i took some classes. Buying baby stuff helped

No you arent alone! I thought the exact same thing after we (finally!!) had our ultrasound... Its a girl, no complications. Still kind of looked like an alien
(just really bony). Now we dont get to see anything until we meet her. Kind of sad. I had my ultrasound at 20 weeks... so 20 weeks to wait (just 13 now!).

We decided to schedule a 4d ultrasound at one of those keepsake places and thats at 31 weeks (nov 1st) so now I get to look forward to that. what if she looks like her dad?!

i was thinking that too, lol. If your that upset about the wait throw a babyshower, everyone should have one for the first baby.

I agree - so I sit there and entertain myself by poking my belly and waiting for Cameron to poke me back, and so on, lol! It's kind of amazing how responsive they are while still in the belly! It's also fun to play different kinds of music and see which ones baby responds to and what response you get, then decide if the responds was a positive or a negative... oh! 1 more fun game is when baby is awake, to get a flashlight and see what they do to the light being turned on and off... my poor child is going to think his mommy is a nutcase!

for me the last 1/2 went by WAY faster than the first 1/2.
your dr. appts get closer together around 32 weeks.. so you can look fowared to that every week.
a baby shower.
getting everything set up and ready [that takes up alooot of time ifyour like me haha]
i think there was more to look foward to in the last 20 weeks than in the first 20.

You may get an u/s to measure her later on, to make sure she's okay. My doctor is scheduling me for another one for when I'm 35 weeks.

Ask your doctor about it, but you usually have to find a place that does it and insurance does not usually cover it so you have to pay out of pocket...whick is anywhere fronn $100-$200...depends on what package you get.
