how painful is it when the doctor breaks your water?

not really that bad

I didn't even feel a thing

Its the contractions that follow that hurt , the water breaking doesn't hurt at all.

When I had my daughter, I didn't have any drugs~ it was actually a relief when he broke my water~ it was less pressure. This time I had an epidural so I didn't feel anything

Yep, my water broke on its own while I was at the hospital. Until that point contractions didn't hurt, but afterward....... 

You don't feel a thing at all just a gush of water and it feels like you wet yourself, i was nervous when my doc said he had to check/break mine since i was overdue but i felt like i wet myself and he was like clear all done and i felt nada didn't even know he had already stuck the thing in me to break it

the water breaking wasn't painful, But when she was up there breaking my water is was a little painful.

I would think I was going to at least feel a pinch or something. But I didn't even notice until they pushed up my belly and they had to change the bed 3 x's because of how much waterI let out. It's a piece of cake going through.
