posted 6th Oct
Okay I'm 14 weeks and I already have a little belly, I'm used to sleeping on my stomach,is that bad now that I'm preg? Should I or can I still sleep on it?
Can I hurt the baby?

I'm 20 weeks and i still sleep on my stomach. I have one leg lifted so it's not all of my weight on my tummy.

You're supposed to sleep on your left side.. but I have to admit I slept on my stomach until i was unable too and after that I slept mostly on my right side.

My daughter is just fine.

The baby is in a sack of water and should be protected, in a few weeks though you definitely won't be able to. I used to do it up until my uterus moved up and it got pretty uncomfortable. Of course now I am huge and there is no possible way to sleep on my tummy.

I'm just shy of 14 weeks and this is exactly how I sleep too. Very comfortable!

same here.as long as youre still completely comfortable youre fine. when things start to feel tight, squished, or just flat out painful, thats when its time to find a new sleeping position.

I'm 20 weeks and before I got pregnant I was a stomach sleeper. At about 14 weeks I started trying to sleep on my left side which is what they recommend. I say try because I'm not always successful. I'm not used to sleeping on my side, so it can be very uncomfortable. I usually don't sleep very well when I sleep on my side. I bought a body pillow and that helps a little bit. Sometimes I end up in this half on my side, half on my stomach position. You won't hurt the baby by sleeping on your stomach, besides in a few more weeks it will be impossible foryou to do -- because it will be too uncomfortable.

Haha i do the same thing, and I'm 28 weeks! I have a tiny belly, so it still works, and my doctor says it's fine. I think I'll cry when I finally am too big to sleep on my tummy.

Since day one my doctor prohibited me from sleeping on my stomach and my daughter reminds me every night if I slip that shes there and doesnt like it. You are technically squishing the baby. The "best" spot is your left side, but the right will do to. No back or stomach sleeping think of your baby, your pregnant now so the last thing you are gonna be is comfortable. You must accomadate to her/him. Good Luck

I fall asleep on my side then I wake up on my back. Why can't you sleep on your back?
