Upset and worried

So I work for the government as a contractor (going through a temp agency) but they liked my work so they are hiring me on as a federal employee. But because it is taking awhile I am still a contractor and have to have funds put into my account so the temp agency pays me and gets paid. The renewed my contract so I could still get paid but forgot to add the funds so I cant go to work until they figure it out..

On Friday I got a call from the temp agency telling me that I was to go home immediately because there were no funds in my account. I am seriously freaking out because it is my paycheck that keeps Luke in daycare. Colin pays the mortgage so there is really nothing to cover daycare for next week. If we pull him out he will loose his spot and we will be stuck without childcare.

I am just so frustrated that I have to go through this bullshit. None of them have this issue. As it is I can barely keep Colin and I with food (I would rather us go hungry than Luke) so it is just really really frustrating.

I had been talking with my boss and he is telling me we wont know anything until a certain person is in the office. Well it could be THURSDAY until they get back. If I go a week without pay we are going to be royally fucked!

I am so pissed.

Did you talk to your boss about your personal situation? I don't know if you want to put your business out there, but sometimes if gives people a better understanding of what you are going through and they respond better. Have you tried talking to the people at the temp agency? Try to keep your cool when you talk to them, because you aren't permanent yet.

I have. My boss said there inst anything they can do until this person gets in. Fortunately, I have one of the best boss' I could ask for. And its not his fault. I will definitely not take it out on him, its this damn slacker who makes 100+ K and would never understand what its like to really NEED your next check

Oh no! Hunn, I know how you're feeling... I hate it when people say that to me just to be nice, but I'm not one of those people. Hang on, I'm going to do some research. lol- I'll see what I can find, some kind of help for you and your little family

Thats really all I can do at this point. LOL

I am trying to see this as a vacation until it is sorted out but when the money runs out I am really fucked.

Well I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Have you said anything to the daycare yet about your situation? Maybe you could talk to them and they'll work something out with you so Luke doesn't lose his spot at the daycare?!

No not yet, I feel like talking to them would admit that I am losing my job and thats not whats happening, at least not yet.
