Cheating down?

Ok so today on the way home form work I was listening to the radio and i heard some stats that said a majority of men who cheat, "cheat down". Meaning they cheat with a woman who is markedlyLESSattractive then their wives or GFs. The stats also said that a majority of women "cheat up", by cheating with men who areMORE attractive then their mates. So how many of you think this is true? do you have stories that illustrate this or refute it? or better yet photographic evidence? Di ex's that cheated on you do it with a georgous model type or a "slump-buster"?
Personally i feel it's true that men "cheat down". I have an ex that said he thought I was an "8". He worked at a bar and had a female co-worker that he became friends with (who was married with 2 kids) I was worried about it until i met her and then i thought "oh shit she's really nasty, he would never tap that" well i was WRONG i found out they did it multiple times. This girl was REALLY nasty - about as wide as she was tall, dried out blonde hair that was spiral permed resulting in a vauguly triangle shaped hair style and coke bottle glasses, horrible skin etc. Not that I'm soooo attractive, just that in comparison i thought i was safe where she was concerned, especially since he could have hooked up with more attractive co-workers. anyway what do you think?

when my ex and i lived in houston he cheated on me with a fat 40 yr old woman who looked like a blond chipmunk...ew..so i guess that's true.

It is true, and what a way to make a woman feel attractive.

My mom always told me "never cheat with a guy that isn't worth losing your relationship over" I cheat up, but my fiance cheats up too. Except when he's drunk.

um... well, we're not technically dating, but we live together. so, my BD was in this "i want to date other girls" phase and he had sex with some girl who was even fatter than i am (and i am F-A-T), and she kinda looked like raven symone but uglier and fatter... so. i agree. maybe not "cheated down", but totally "f*cked down"!.... i was still jealous though because he said her bj's were better than mine. grrrrrrr.

oh its true i cheated on my husband who is a 5 or 6 with a guy that was defenetly a 9.8 but it was out of lust

I think it is true.

My uncle cheated on my aunt, who isnt ugly by any means, and this lady turned out to be like 450 lbs (no joke) she had the darkest hair that you've ever seen, and it was all over her arms and ew. She looked like an orangutang!

And then my dad cheated on my mom. This lady....yuck....she has serious facial hair problems. She has a beard literally. And a moustache and she is very ugly. I dont know what the hell men think sometimes. why would you sacrifice a marriage for THAT!?

my hubbys dad cheated on his wife (my hubbys mom) and the woman he cheated with is attractive. i dont know if shes moreso attractive than my hubbys mom. its probably about a tie. and the woman he was cheating with was cheating on her hubby and im not sure but i dont think my FIL is a "hottie" lol. i guess hes alright looking. haha. anyways, its really all subjective to what our idea of "hot" is.

Slightly OT - My husband has never cheated on me, but the girls that I catch him looking at or that he will admit that he finds attractive are like....I dont know....but they are totally different than me. And I think most of them are ugly to be honest. So I am like, hmm...does that mean that I am ugly like them too, because he has some bad taste....or does that mean he got lucky this time?! haha

I honestly think that if a man is going to cheathe will with anything that offers it up. My ex cheated multiple times with atleast 4 women I can think of. I am sure a few strippers too. I wouldnt put any of them higher then me because they were the other women and in 3 of the cases they new he was in a relationship. I can not look at a women that knows that kind of info and still sleeps with a man and think she is attractive.

but based on looks alone and life style I would say it was a down step from me. He married one that he cheated with and they are now seperated, she is a terrable drug addict and terrable mother.
