Watching Cartoons?

My son is only two months old and he LOVES the backyardigans! Everytime he hears the music he looks straight at the tv and smiles! It's so cute!! I didn't think at 2 months they could focus on something so long. He will watch the entire half hours and he just coos (sp?) at it. They were singing a song earlier and one of the words (I was washing his bottles so I can't remember what the word was! lol ) ended in 'boo' and everytime they would say it he said it! I don't know if it's okay for him to watch tv like that though?? I know that sounds stupid but I'm just curious. I don't usually put his chair in front of the tv, I just did it to get a picture of him doing it for my Mom to see.

My son loves tv too. I think its the sounds and bright colors that attract him. I would turn him away and now that he rolls, he turns so he can see it, lol.
I would say, imo, that as long as its for a short amount of time at a time and isn't all day, its ok.  

My daughter loves that show too! It must be the colors or the songs, something really keeps her attention. I dont normally park her in front of the tv either, but when you've gotta wash bottles or take a shower at least you know they are happy and not crying. This morning I was getting ready for work and turned the tv off before I picked her up out of her saucer and she got mad at me! She was frowning and having a tiny little protest. It was so funny.

LOL It's amazing how they can focus so early. Well Caiden's awake now and wanting a bottle! Good thing Mommy got them washed! lol ;)
