My super baby :)

posted 6th Oct
My son Kaleb was born 6 weeks early. He weighed 5lbs 6 oz so he's a big preemie. I had him September 27th, I was supposed to bring him home yesterday but right before I was getting ready to go get him they called and said his temperature had dropped and he had to stay in another night and they're pretty sure it was due to stress. He was circumsized yesterday and had pictures done and his carseat checked and they think that since they did all that he got stressed out. They put him under a warming light for an hour. Then back to his crib, they were talking about putting him back in the incubator if he got cold again. I went down around 6 for his feeding and he was doing good again. Keeping his temp up eating and doing everything he's supposed to do. I was down again from midnight til 2am and he had gained weight not lost any! And was still doing really good. I'm to call in today to see if he can come home today. They just wanted to watch him in case it was something else and they were doing a white blood cell count for all boys today anyways. Anyone else been in a similiar situation?

he sounds jsut like my daughter!!!!!!! She was born almost a full 4 weeks early, was 5lbs 14 oz. I had her on Oct. 30th and they were going to let us go home on Oct 31st, but she couldnt regulate her temp and her blood sugar kept dropping. We got to come home on Nov 1

Good luck!!!

Thanks! I just called in and was told everything's stable and he should be discharged at 3 or 4 this afternoon so as long as I don't get a call like that again my baby's coming home today!
