Ummm hey stupid bitch, have you done any research? Did you even read the article at the beginning of this post? Did you know our government willingly let women put cancerous radioactive glow-in-the-dark paint in their mouths and their skin while they were making military watches for soldiers and didn't tell them of all the harmful effects that they knew about it?

Yea that's right, and they're the same government that says marijuana is bad (it's never killed anyone), and although they agree that Marijuana isn't bad anymore because of newfound evidence (evidence they've always had and tried to keep hidden until recently when the truth became mainstream knowledge), they don't want to legalize it partially because they don't want to look like they're endorsing the idea that marijuana is good for people, YET THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM KEEPING ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO LEGAL, AND ALLOWING HOSPITALS TO PRESCRIBE PEOPLE MEDICINE THAT GIVES THEM PERMANENT AND HIGHLY DANGEROUS SIDE EFFECTS FOR ALMOST EVERY DISEASE WE EVER GET.

So? It showed up as a recent search result on google when I searched for marijuana affecting pregnancy, and I saw this topic with a bunch of idiot uneducated moms bashing one of the few intelligent and open-minded moms on this planet. So to help her out, I put that bitch in her place.

oh my, haters everywhere! Ok, my opinion is that smoking green is ok (physically) when your preggers. I did last time...and it eased my mood swings, helped me eat more and sleep better. My lil girl is perfect in every way. I never smoke in front of her. I have STOPPED smoking this time around ONLY because Fl laws have gotten to harsh to risk going to the hospital for labor and popping a positive for THC and having my baby taken away from me by the state. YES I SUPPORT GREEN! No, I am not a bad or un-fit mother. I pay my bills on time, work hard, don't smoke ciggs, drink, take pills, crack ect....The ONLY reason I quit green is because of the law. If it were not illegal I would continue with green.

Wow im amused when a woman talks about having an abortion everyone is all like its her choice she should be able to do what she wants with NO JUDGEMENT but yet a woman talks about smoking while pregnant and provides interesting facts and everyone is so quick to jump down the woman's throat for it. I am not saying im against smoking while pregnant i personally wouldn't do it myself but im not passing judgement upon this woman or anyone who has done it and all those abortion supporters and non supporters save ur breath i look at it like not my body, not my baby, not my problem

First of all.. It sounds like all that pot you've been smoking has made you Paranoid beyond belief!

Second of all.. I am a Pot smoker! Not going to deny that.
BUT! I quit smoking pot when pregnant with my daughter and in Sept when TTC this baby. I am 14 weeks! yay!
There is lots of eveidence that proves that POT smoke IS harmful to your child.
Marijuana use during pregnancy can cause:
-Low Birth Weight
- Smaller head size (a measure of brain growth)
-attention, memory, and academic difficulties
-Depression in adolescence
- Poor problem solving performance.

That is the exact reason why I have stopped smoking during my pregnancy...no matter how much I do support it or feel that it should be legalized...the fact of the matter is, pot is illegal and if i popped positive they could take my baby and nothing, i dont care what it is, is worth that risk.

God these woman who don't smoke, didn't smoke while they were pregnant and have never done any research sure have a lot to say and nothing to listen to. Your opinions are so unimportant compared to facts. I was born in the 80's me and every friend I have were pot babies and there's has never been any problems. In the 50's they drank martinis and smoked cigarettes, we tend to put pregnant people in a bubble making them scared to have any anything they would normally in their lives. By all means stress me out to all hell and give me a fat list of things I can't do. Of course is has been proven martinis and cigarettes are bad for a pregnancy but out of all you loonies can come up with hard facts about pot and pregnancy then you might change my mind.

Ok, you're right--you're AWESOME. Have fun ruining your babies' childhoods by being high all the time, because it's so great and healthy for everyone to eat/smoke it for any reason.

Many doctors and even more midwives will support light use of marijuana for morning sickness. I feel like mainstream media is finally getting some truth out to the public, but so many people are still very ignorant to this subject. Unfortunately the "War on Drugs" have categorized marijuana to be such a dangerous drug for reasons that only benefited the administration at the time. Most people against marijuana have not done extensive research, therefore it's hard to even listen to their debate, but at the end of the day everyone should have the RIGHT to choose. Choose to be for it, choose to be against it. Saying people are bad mothers for it is extremely far fetched.
AND one other quick point - every state is different but here in NY they only test your baby at birth for drug use if you admitted it. I was honest with my midwife during labor (mistake) and told her I wasn't completely innocent, CPS was at my house the day after I brought my daughter home. They did an initial interview, sent another case worker out about a week later for a second interview and to check the baby's living space. The second case worker basically said trips like ours were a waste of her time. That she has to deal with that a lot and all of the mothers are fit to be parents. She wishes that she could use her time to help the children who really need help, like crack babies. Our case was "unfounded" and they never came back again. Just wanted to share my experience with that in this state... it's awful to think other Mommy's out there could actually lose their child over something that is HARMLESS if not over abused.

The Government will not fund studies with marijuana because it will be exposed that this miracle plant that has been known to reduce Cancer cells, is actually not that bad. Weve been brainwashed our whole lives to think Cannabis a "bad drug" and its in the same classification as Heroin, Crack, Meth. REALLY? I totally support any women that would rather put a natural herb into their body when pregnant, rather than some synthetic drug the doctor would give you for morning sickness.
