ARE you a medical transcriptionist? You have to take classes for that. or for a medical coder and biller.

I wasn't sure if any education was necessary.

I've heard the program is five classes, at $500 each, but after you get certified you can make bank.

some vocational schools have the classes in evenings for adults for the coding and billing but not sure where they offer the transcriptionist . and some of those send away for classes type schools- people will not hire you if you just went through those.

Basically I'm asking because my boyfriend can't find a job and we're sinking a little. I was hoping I could do something from home...

Oh, I so didn't know that. The program I was thinking of, I think it was online classes. You can take as long as you want to finish them. Me, I would need to take as long as I want just to pay for them!

Maybe you could get a job outside the home and then he could stay home until he figures out something for himself.

Yes, you have to have a degree. But there are plenty of online colleges that you can take classes with.

I'm exclusively breastfeeding and my daughter is only 6 weeks old...I don't know how I'd ever pump enough for her for an entire day.

I would say to become a nanny, it's great because you're at home anyways and it is a great pay. I do it over the summertime, and I love it.

How do you juggle it with having a young child? She takes up all of my time :-/

I work from home doing customer service over the phone. I work through www.arise.com You have to take a test and if you pass then you have to do a background check which is $13 and then you have to get certified with them which is $100. If you know another language and you pass their screening then the certification course is free. Then you are an independant contractor and big companies like AA, Carnival Cruise Lines, Home Depot, Circuit City, Walgreens, etc. are the ones that hire you.

With any job it takes practice, you will do fine with it. I really enjoy doing it, and it has such a great pay and advantages with children.

How much do you make doing that? If you don't mind me asking. What's the average for say, an hour?
