walkers

Who used walkers for the babies, and when did you start? And if you didn't use one, why, and do you think it delayed their walking, or if you used one, did it help them walk earlier? I am curious for the future. I saw on one it said beginning at 4 months, but that seems a bit early.

I started using a walker with my daughter around 3 months. At that young age she cruised around like a pro.

It didn't delay her walking a bit. She walked at 9 1/2 months.

i started using a walker for my son at about 5.5 months and he flies through the house in it. He hasnt started walking yet and hell be 8 months next saturday but my mom used one with me and i started walking on time and so did my sister.

never used one i just let her cruise around on her hands and knees lol

Thanks guys. I was thinking of getting one soon. He already loves his jumper and exersaucer, and I love buying him new things. Hopefully he like it. We have wood floors in nearly the whole house, so I'm sure he'll be everywhere in it.

Walkers are illegal in canada. lol, but i have one! We just got it recently

They are illegal, and you can get in big poopoo over having one by children services I hear.
That being said OP I got me some contraband walkers and my kids started at 3-4 months, my first one walked at 9 ish months and my second walked at 13 months.They are not for careless mothers and I beleive they do not inhibit or help walking in the least.

Why are they illegal?

im guessing to many injurys. to many parents who dont keep an eye on the babies the whole time they're in the walkers.
