Please help real fast... cervix question

posted 5th Oct
Don't be confused, but I'm using my friends profile real fast just hoping to get some answers. I'm currently not pregnant that I know of, but want to be. I believe that I have already ovulated for this month from what my cervical fluid was showing. Shortly after I had some brownish discharge that looked like dead blood a little. For the past week my cervix has been very high almost hard to reach high and not showing any signs of coming down. It's not firm, but not soft either... kind of medium I suppose. Could I be pregnant? I don't even know exactly when my last period was so I'm not even good at telling when I'm late.

you shouldn't feel your cervix. thats not safe or comfortable probally, therew as a woman on here that did it and put herself into labor doing that.

Basing pregnancy on cervical position is tricky. Definitely later in pregnancy it is rather firm and quite high up and further back, but during early pregnancy it can be anywhere and can move around a bit too, as weird as that seems. Low, high, soft, firm, very closed to semi-open all of them are normal and I've had days where it seemed to go through all of them! (I kept checking out of curiosity, even though I knew I was preg).

Old blood- could be ovulation spotting (I got that afew times here and there) or it could- could?- be implantation bleeding, depending on how soon after your O it happened. It usually happens about 2 weeks after you ovulate- the implantation, I mean.

When you check your cervix during the month to check for ovulation n' stuff you don't do it hard. You're not jabbing, just lightly touching. It doesn't hurt, nothing is going in to check dilation or anything like that, and you wash your hands real well before anyway so you're not spreading bacteria.

Melissa - she's hanging in there for the most part and trying to get her baby back. It's too hard to her to be on places like this right now though, you understand. Doesn't help that her sister is being a bitch and is about to give birth and keeps asking Nicole to rub her belly and feel the baby move. Things like that.

FOR THE REST OF YOU - thank you for your help. I guess you're right, I"m just going to have to get a test and see what happens...
