wont sleep without me

posted 4th Oct
My 9 month old daughter woke up at 5:00 am (she sleeps til 8:30 or later usually) and she wouldn't go back to sleep in her crib. She would only sleep if I was holding her or if she was in my bed. She's never done this before. Finally after about 2 hours I put her in her crib and she fell asleep. Does this sound like seperation anxiety and is anyone elses baby doing things like this around her age? Thanks

My daughter has been sleeping through the night since she was 2 months old, but shes been waking up at different times every night for the last 3 weeks. Once I give her binky back to her she dozes back off, only to wake up again in another hour, sometimes still with the binky in her mouth. She has an ear infection, so I just wrote it off as discomfort from the infection, but Im starting to think its separation anxiety. I try not to bring her back to my bed, but at 3-4 in the morning Im just too tired to keep getting up to soothe her and she goes right to sleep with me... I guess all you can do is keep trying. Ive been letting my daughter cry during the day to get her used to soothing herself to sleep, so we will see how that goes...
