6 week pp doctor appt question

ok so i'm having my 6 week PP doctor appt soon . this is my first baby and i was just wondering what do they do at your appt .
i'vd like to know what to expect before i go in ???

They are going to give you a PAP smear and make sure everything healed up. (if you had a c-section they will check your incision) they will also ask you about birth control. --I am getting the Mirena put in on the 20th.

what is the MIRENA ?never heard of it i may want to use that instand of BC pill's
