Anyone just call in to work sick or lie to whomever just to get some peace for a day?

oh yea we went to a patriots game recently i called in sick.

I think ive worn out all the pregnancy sympotms and excuses already

I did it a few times when I was working. I guess I never really felt bad about it because everyone else at my job used to do it too, and a lot of those times I really just needed a break. I was working most times 8-10 hrs, on my feet the whole time except for when I'd be on break, and pregnant. So yea, I totally knew I deserved it lol

I've never called in sick when I didn't need to. And when I need to stay home, I usually go in to work anyways. I've actually been sent home and told not to come back until I am better because I am very Type-A personality and don't like anyone else doing my work.

I've called in sick when I have been in a terrible mood andwhen all i wanted to do was sit at home and cry.

Guilty. I did it in the past but I don't think i could do it now. As soon as I would do it the baby would end up sick.
I would never do it on a day that there was a lot going on.

I have I work with kids so I normally use the pink eye, stomach virus or diarehhea line.   I don't do it often but when I am extremely beat.

My boss is my SIL so I can't get away with doing something fun when I'm supposed to be home sick, but I have faked sick just to lay around in bed all day! Been awhile though, I hardly EVER do it!

yes!!! lol i do i get bored easily at work so if i feel advanterous or just lazy ill call in saying i have bad symptoms or something and end up shopping or cleaning lol all day hehe its fun plus works boring!

Yeah so i just called in today and my mom called - i picked up and shoe goes, "aren't you supposed to be at work?' So of course she says, dont you wanna earn money for your child? AHHHH

hahaha yesss!!! the bad part is I work for my family's company and I'm realllly taking advantage of the perk of being "related." my actual boss is just a family friend, however, and I've worked out with him that if I "can't" come in that I can just text him letting him know, I don't even have to call in anymore.
