i have this friend that's pregnant. she's about 30 weeks now. anyways, i'm getting my dividend in 3 weeks & i would like to take her shopping for the baby.
any ideas on what to get the baby? i don't really want to get clothes because kids grow out of them so fast. but then again, i was thinking maybe getting a couple from different sizes.
thanks

EVERYONE buys clothes; maybe something she could use like a walker, bouncer or high chair? If all else fails diapers never go to waste!

she needs EVERYTHING! she has a bassinet, but that's pretty much everything. i don't want buy her something that she should buy. i don't want her to think i'd buy the baby anything, but i want to get something nice.
a walker or a bouncer sound nice. maybe a car seat. she was looking at one at fred meyers.

If she does not have a swing get her a swing... that was my life saver! too bad my son is too big for it now! diapers of all different sizes, one thing i just ran into that we did not get as gifts was spoons and dishes for starting out on foods, maybe a really nice diaper bag? i splurged on mine and always get compliments on it

Gift cards to various places like Children's Place, Macy's, Babies R Us and grocery stores where she can buy formula, bottles, etc would help out. I bought majority of my daughter's clothes and asked for gift cards so we could buy things we needed as time went by. But bottles are useful, buping cloths (cloth diapers work great as burp clothes) a swing, a baby sling, some blankies, playmat, and some baskets she could use to organize things in are great also.
