Anyone who is Catholic.

I know this might sound stupid but do we have to have God Parents picked out in order for my son to be baptized? Can he just not have God Parents?

hm... i'm not 100% sure, but i think you have to have at least one... i could be totally wrong, though. i still haven't had my daughter baptized and she is 2... i'm not much of a practicing catholic anymore, i guess, haha... but the one thing i do know for sure from when my nieces got baptized is that only one godparent has to be catholic-- the others don't have to be... good luck!

Nope ... need Godparents.... in my church as long as one is baptized you can have one non catholic

He has to, that's 1/2 the point of being baptized (the other 1/2 is being brought into God's family or whatever).

Yup you do thats why we havent gotten Alaina baptized yet because we dont have any godparents

then most likely my church is going to want us to have god parents chosen becuase its like 200 years old and is really strict!

lol, isn't he! haha hes freacken big! hes 24 pounds and 29 1/2 inches! Alaina is so cute too! We're moving up to Riverside next year after Luis graduate from auto body and paint tech school. I can't wait! i want to get the hell out of san diego!

i think in every church you go thy're going to ask you for godparents if their a couple theye have to be married in the catholic church. By the way what church do you go to i go to st.judes by 38th and national.
