I have the Medela Pump In Style. Never tried the Swing pump, but Medela definitely makes great products.

Are the bottles nice? so, is it an ok transition from nipple to bottle and back with the medela?

i dont know if medela nipples are good for transitioning from bottle to breast or not. i personally liked to use nipples that were larger based, that way lylian could still kind of suck the same way she would on the breast, otherwise should would suck all weird and cause a lot of pain on my nipples. i just used the medela bottles for pumping into, and then storing it in the fridge, then i would put it in bm bags if i was freezing it. i dont think i would ever freeze milk in a medela bottle freezer kit. i also would pump into some of those cheapo $store type bottles as well, since they screw on just the same as the medela ones. it just depended on if i was gonna pump more than 5 oz or not.

I don't use the bottles that came with it to feed Bernard... I collect that milk in them (or a freezer collection bag) and then feed him with glass bottles. I'm a plastic-o-phobe, which is the only reason.

I think the Medela bottles are fine, though. Definitely easy to switch from pump to feed-- just unscrew the lid and swap. Mostly, it'll probably depend how finicky your little one is. My first baby decided there was only ONE BRAND of bottles and nipples he would allow to touch his tender lips. Oooh la la.

Thanks!....I had been looking for glass bottles but I couldn't find any!.....PLEASE tell me where you found them/what brand they are!

I got mine online (http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Browns-7-ounce-Standard-Feeding/dp/B000YASFEE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1223069190&sr=1-1).

The Dr. Brown's glass bottles have this "natural flow" system-- this stick thing that pokes down into the bottle and prevents air from getting mixed in with the milk and causing gas. Bernard and I love them.
