Cooking assistance??

When I boil chicken, what is the best way to do so and how long do I boil them to make sure they're cooked through??

Please list detailed steps (I'm not good at guessing!), and is it OK to use like regular boneless/skinless breasts or not??

I usually boil mine for about 10 minutes, then turn the heat on low and let them sit for about 10 more minutes. Mmmmm...chicken sounds good now.

I use part water and part chicken broth whenI boil chicken. Are you boiling breasts?
I'd say that will probably take less than 20 minutes. I always pull the biggest piece out and cut into it to make sure they are done.

I have never heard of boiling chicken - I always do mine in the oven, or the BBQ.

I've always done mine either in the oven, in a skillet or on the grill. A friend of mine was telling me this awesome enchilada recipe and she said to boil the chicken, then she couldn't explain how to do that (I guess its a simple process that I should just know?).

I'm planning on using boneless/skinless chicken breasts, yes. Do I put the water on and bring it to a boil THEN add the chicken, or do I put the chicken in the cold water THEN bring it to a boil??

i usually only boil chicken if I am making chiken salad.
