Quoting Here*Comes_3:“ Wow. Makes me glad my daughter is so small - she's 13 months and 19 pounds...With the law here saying 30 pounds, she'll be 3 by the time she can front-face, at the rate she's been going lately!”My peanut is 16 lbs at 9 months-he definitely will be able to rear face for awhile! There are seats out there that will rear face to 35 pounds even. I've seen quite a few photos of 4 year olds rear facing.
Quoting Kathleen Mary ♥:“ Thanks for bumping this ladies! I feel like I know a hell of a lot more now than before I read the ... [snip!] ... want their child rear facing or not. After reading this post, I will certainly keep Dominick's carseat rear facing for a while!”Basically, because it was very hard to get 1 and 20 going-now it's stuck in people's minds. We (child passenger safety advocates) are trying hard to get the message out there, this is not new. The American Academy of Pediatrics has recommended rear facing to the limits since 2002-6 years!
Quoting J&LsMommy:“ I bought my son a new seat today. It's rear facing up to 35lbs and forward facing up to 50. It's a Evenflo ... [snip!] ... up to 50. It's a Evenflo Triumph Advance LX. I liked the shape and and he fits in it so much better. No more cramped baby!”Yay! It's a great seat and will last a long time. My 6 year old just grew out of it by weight.
