Yea...I'm all late posting... I needed some time to rest! Seems like as soon as we got home from the hospital we were leaving again going to see all my boyfriends family. Finally, I said, "ya know...if they wanna see her that bad, they can come see US!" So, I took some time to myself and kinda shut everyone out for a bit. She's 10 days old today and SO BEAUTIFUL! We're all doing well over here. I'm just kidna lonely during the day since my oldest is in school all day, the fiance works, and the baby don't wanna do anything but eat and sleep! LOL But, I'm sure this will pass soon...
So…labor sucked-as it usually does. I went to the hospital at 6am as requested but didn't get the pitocin till 8. APPARENTLY, they never did cultures on me when I was in the hospital for MRSA last year, so they had to 'be cautious' (meaning that everyone that came in the room had to wear these stupid yellow gowns and masks and stuff). I felt like I was contaminated or something LOL Anyway…I ended up getting the pitocin, then they broke my water at 830am. At 12 something, I still wasn't contracting OR dilating (I was still at the same 2cm I was at when I got there at 6am!), so they kept upping the doses of pitocin. At 1pm, they decided to give me the epidural which was kinda cool but unnecessary at the time. They CONTINUED to up the pitocin until FINALLY at like 4:30 or somewhere around there, I started having contractions but by that time, the freaking epi had worn off!! They changed the meds in it to something stronger but I wasn't feeling it AT ALL! At 6pm (12 hours after I was admitted) I was only dilated to 5cm! I was pretty mad…and by that point, I was in SO much pain that they had to take the epidural out and completely redo it! Once they redid it, I was GREAT, but I had a really bad headache so I tried to sleep for a little bit. Finally at 9 something, they checked me and I was at 9cm-woohoo! They told me to start pushing (cuz by this time, I was so drugged I couldn't feel ANYTHING). I pushed for a whole 11minutes and out she came at 9:22pm! It was…interesting to say the least. She was 7lb. 14.6oz, 18.75 inches long-and LOTS of hair and dark blue eyes-she's beautiful! So basically, labor was about 14 hours and 2 epidurals (and surprisingly, only 2 stitches!) Dylan was DEFINITELY the easier one. Goodness, I hope she's not that difficult when she turns 16. ::shivers:: LOL Anyway, my mom was there-I know she was bored-she spent the whole day looking at the contraction monitor, the poor woman! Lol Of course, Michael was there, and my girl, Shelli-who's been my girl for 20 years-literally-drove all the way from Henderson, NC to be there, too. I guess we're loved LOL!
Anyway, I posted some pics in my albums today, but here's some more ;)
