i need a job.

i'm 16, but no one will effing hire me! i've applied at arbys (got a call back, but we moved that week) quiznos, subway, taco del mar, & little shops around here. NO ONE WILL HIRE ME! i don't know if it's because of my age, i see 14 year olds working at subway & DQ (i used to work there, but we moved so i quit)

any suggestions on what i should do? i need a little bit of money. i can't baby sit because i don't really know anyone that would pay me to watch their kids. i live in alaska so i can't really walk dogs or mow lawns.

i'm literally going insane. i'm bored ALL the time. i'm in homeschooling, so i can't really get social, hence why i need a job

Is there an agency you can go to? There's a couple here.. They'll help you figure out how you're qualified, and even find places that are hiring.

do u call back after u put in an application?

there's places in alternative schools where they'll help you look for a job. but, i'm not enrolled in a public school. they have some websites where i can look for jobs, but most of them are for people 18+

weirdness! usually that is the place that is always hiring lol
call and annoy after you do your application or go back about a week later in person
always hand your application to the manager
maybe a daycare? fast food? walmart?

i used to live in Alaska! I grew up there... but in Anchorage. But I had a hard time finding a job there as well. Small cities.

i'mma do some more job hunting sometime next week.
i can't work out in wasilla because that's about 15 miles away from where i live, the only way i would get there is a car. i don't have a car.

I have a Walgreen's down the street, psh. I've applied a good seven times with no luck, whatsoev.

it does, for realz. it's cold & there's not much to do. there's tons of hippies, not really a bad thing, but, it's just lame.
