I hate how she says they can drill on land that has only small foot prints...Well you fucking asshole, the footprints are small now and when we go and fuck that up, we will move on and continue to mess up more land. How can people like her keep using that excuse, we can it wont be affected for a while....We are running out of resources at a fast pace.

Wow...look at all the little critters there, and all the trees/lush wildlife/fresh water we will be destroying.

I'm all for offshore drilling; however, I'm not for using it as a permanent solution, but if it can help with the price of oil/gasoline while we look for better energy alternatives, then I say go for it.

the point is that we just keep using and using and using and before we know it, it will all be gone. We have to respect the earth that gives to us. I dont see animals or fishies but i see earth, something else we can abuse...Like palin said "Drill baby Drill" thats all they care about.

But McCain is not saying to just drill, and use it as a permanent resource. If you look at www.ontheissues.org, he is supporting alternative energy sources.

So, he's not just saying to drill, and use that as a permanent solution, but the oil/gasoline prices are out of control, and if offshore drilling will help keep some money in my pocket while we work towards better solutions, then, yes...Drill, baby, drill!!!

We need to drill here until we can find an alternative fuel. my dad works for a national laboratory here in NY and he is working on a huuuggee project in which their goal is discovering and alternate source of energy. Until its found we need to drill here so we dont go broke trying to heat our homes this winter and drive our children to the doctor and go to the grocery store

Alternatives have been found. Hell we put ethanol in ever engine RIGHT now. We just need to find a way to mass market them. The average farmer can make BIO diesel in his back yard, and it runs cleaner and more effectively. The alternatives are out there, they just need to brought it on a larger scale. Focus on THAT and away from oil. We have precious little space in the world left to the wide open. Why destroy what little we have left?

Um do you know how long it takes to drill and refine oil? You certainly won't be reaping the benefits this winter...maybe by the time your kid is in college.
