Baby mattress
posted 2nd Oct
We're getting Izzy's mattress for her crib tomorrow. I don't know how to shop for a baby mattress, haha. Any suggestions? What brand should I get, what should I look for when buying one for her.
Thanks ladies!

What I did with this baby is laid them on the ground and laid on them. If they could support my weight without too much give it was good. The matteress I had gotten for first is too weak. I also had him lay down and bounce on them. I wanted something stronger and sturdier this time around.
They say to get one with at least 252 springs in it. That is what I have for this one. Babies r Us had one that had a side designed for infants and could be flipped to the other side for toddlers. That is what I got for this baby. I think it's a Serta.

We opted for a foam mattress -- much lighter to change the sheets on! Flips over to a softer side for toddlers. Seems to be working well!

I bought the cheapest mattress walmart had..$45 and my daughter has been using it for 16 months now w/out any problems When I convert her crib to a toddler bed we will continue to use it.
My sister bought the same mattress for her daughter.
