Colds and Labor

So I am due anytime now, and I feel like I am getting a nasty cold. The temp just changed here, and it got really cold really fast. Now my nose is tingling and I keep coughing. I REALLY don't want to have a cold while in labor. That would suck so bad! Has anyone else went thru this??? Is there anything I can do to fight it off quickly?

You are supposed to feel like you have the Flu right before labor, or so I hear. I hope you get better, momma!!

Well that is a good thing then. Maybe her cold like symptoms means labor is coming?

I've had a cold for about two weeks now and were due on the same day so I'm in the same boat!
I don't want to be huffing and puffing without being able to breath!

How soon before labor?   I"ve felt like shit for three days    
Headache, stuffy nose, fatigue worse than normal, nausea... I know sounds pregnancy related but it's slightly out of the ordinary for lately.

u kno wuts funny... the night my water broke... earlier that day i felt like i was commin down with something.. i had a sore throat and cough =] maybe its a sign lmao...

I've never heard of this before. Our pregnant bodies are so amazing.

I dunno if it's a sign of labor or not. But I had a cough when I was in labor. Didn't bother me too much until aftewards. Coughing hurts so bad when you've just had a c-section! I'll tell ya that much!

ugh... amen!! its day 13 that im home and it still hurts like a bitch! =[

Oh I know! And sneezing, I try to avoid that too!!

I actually had a cough the day I went thru labor thanks to one of my kids catching it from school.   It's funny coz the nurse even asked me if I was sick. I wonder if that's the reason they delayed and eventually denied me my epidural? Well anyway.. I think I was coughing for some part of my labor. But you're going thru so much pain with the contractions that a cold or cough is the last thing on your mind. They should give u medicine after labor & deliveryso maybe that will help?
